Asset management for ports and airports

At a port or an airport the equipment is the throughput. We help Gulf gateway operators keep quay cranes, baggage systems, jet bridges, and ground support equipment available, using condition-based maintenance strategy backed by monitoring hardware that survives salt air, heat, and round-the-clock duty cycles.

Gulf container port at blue hour with ship-to-shore cranes

A stopped crane holds a vessel at berth.

Port and airport operators run the most utilisation-sensitive assets in any industry. A ship-to-shore crane down for unplanned maintenance holds a vessel at berth, cascading into demurrage, missed sailings, and lost terminal slots. A failed baggage handling line reroutes thousands of passenger bags manually. A jet bridge taken out of service delays every turn at that stand.

Gulf conditions compound this: salt-laden air corrodes quayside equipment, sand ingress fatigues bearings, and temperatures exceeding 45°C shorten lubricant and elastomer service life. Standard OEM maintenance intervals were never calibrated for this environment.

Keeping ports and airports moving.

01

Crane & Cargo Handling Monitoring

Vibration and structural health monitoring for ship-to-shore cranes, gantries, reach stackers, and terminal conveyors. Detects bearing wear, gear-train faults, and structural fatigue before failure.

02

Baggage & Cargo System Health

Continuous monitoring of baggage handling drives, cargo conveyors, and sortation systems. Early detection of motor, bearing, and belt anomalies prevents passenger-facing failures.

03

Jet Bridges & Ground Support Equipment

Condition tracking for passenger boarding bridges, GSE fleets, and apron infrastructure. Maximise stand availability and reduce aircraft turnaround impact from avoidable equipment faults.

04

Asset Strategy & Lifecycle Planning

Whole-life cost modelling, risk-based maintenance strategy, and capital planning for terminal and airport asset portfolios, aligned with ISO 55001 and with what your regulator expects to see.

Sensored for terminals and airports

Quayside and airside are hard on monitoring kit. Sensored units use sealed IP65 enclosures and industrial accelerometers, and they run over cellular, WiFi, or LoRa, so we can instrument assets where running new cable is not realistic. What we track:

  • Hoist, trolley, and gantry drive health on STS and RTG cranes
  • Baggage handling drive imbalance and belt tension anomalies
  • Jet bridge actuator wear and structural fatigue trends
  • Thermal degradation in motors, gearboxes, and VFDs
